Bubble skid: causes, symptoms and methods of therapy
Modern medicine does not always allow timely detection of rare pathologies, which include bubbling skid (molar pregnancy). This disorder is successfully diagnosed and treated in Israel, where specialists have extensive experience and access to advanced techniques.
What is bubble skid?
Pathology is an abnormal neoplasm that occurs when there is a failure in the process of fertilisation. Normally, after conception, the egg divides to form an embryo and fetal membranes. In a complete bubble skid, the embryo is absent and the membranes degenerate into cystic formations. This occurs due to fertilisation of an egg that does not contain a nucleus.
Partial bubble skid develops when two sperm penetrate the egg. In this case, the embryo is formed, but dies at an early term, and the villi of the chorion begins to grow pathologically, turning into bubbles.
Symptoms and diagnosis
In the initial stages, pathology can proceed without pronounced signs, and the absence of menstruation and nausea are perceived as normal manifestations of pregnancy. However, over time, alarming symptoms appear:
- uterine bleeding with clots and bubbles;
- severe toxaemia;
- absence of a foetal heartbeat;
- uterine size does not correspond to the due date;
- lower abdominal pain;
- high blood pressure.
To confirm the diagnosis, a comprehensive examination is required:
- Ultrasound - helps to detect the absence of the embryo and the presence of cystic formations in the uterus;
- blood test - reveals abnormalities in the indicators;
- measurement of hCG levels - a significant excess of the norm indicates a disease.
Methods of therapy
Israeli doctors use advanced techniques for accurate diagnosis and effective treatment. Depending on the situation, the following methods are used:
- vacuum aspiration - minimally invasive removal of cystic formations;
- organ-preserving surgery - if additional intervention is required;
- initiation of labour activity - used in individual cases.
If the disease has become malignant and spread to the wall of the uterus, a hysterectomy with subsequent chemotherapy.
Treatment in Israel
Clinics are equipped with modern equipment, and therapy is carried out with the use of effective drugs. Patients receive medical care in a short period of time, without the need for a long wait for the results of analyses.
The cost of diagnosis and therapy depends on many factors:
- method of removing the neoplasm,
- the use of medication,
- the need for hospitalisation.
