Histology of the lymph node is very often performed without its complete removal, because it is an important part of the defense system. It is the lymph nodes that contribute to the production of white blood cells, which are excellent at fighting various viruses and diseases. When they increase, there are two options for the development of events:
Histology studies enlarged lymph nodes at the cellular level, so the diagnosis will be extremely accurate and will allow prescribing a highly effective complex treatment with the highest efficiency. The study itself is a kind of biopsy, which is carried out to determine the causes of the increase in the size of the lymph nodes and to identify the presence of disease-causing formations.
Each enlarged lymph node histology is capable of examining with increased accuracy. Samples are taken from the groin area, under the jaw, under the arms and around the neck. Fragments of tissue are obtained with puncture under local anesthesia or open biopsy under general anesthesia. The obtained results of histo-examination allow making an informed decision about the subsequent treatment.
